Tatasky New Package Revised / Updated April 2012 Due to Increase of Service Tax

With an increase in Service Tax announced as part of the Union Budget, all base packs on Tata Sky will undergo a change in price.

This change is being effected in phases.

Wef 4 April 2012, the first phase of this activity goes live with a change in the pricing of TruChoice packs as follows:

1.      The annual & semi-annual prices for the following packs change:

Any new taker of the above packs will now have to pay the new price.

Existing subscribers on the above packs will see no price change until they complete term on the pack.

Any subscriber (new or existing) opting for pure a-la-carte packaging, will have a minimum monthly billing of Rs155 pm instead of the earlier Rs150

Please note that there is NO CHANGE in the entry offer pricing. So a new acquisition can still opt for Tata Sky at Rs 1590.

However new acquisition packs are to be chosen at the time of account creation & installation scheduling.

Couple of other points:

-      The price change in the above packs is for all new acquisitions

-      Existing subscribers on the packs for more than 6 months, will also undergo a price change by way of a price migration – the dates of which will be informed shortly.
